DV CODEC AVI File Editing with Sony DV CODEC
When compressing and uncompressing DV data, the Sony original DV codec software " Sony DV CODEC" provides minimum degradation of video quality in the editing process and high-quality export of DV CODEC AVI files.
Frame-by-Frame MPEG, MICROMV, HDV, and AVC HD File Editing
The Sony MPEG editing engine provides frame-by-frame editing of MPEG, MICROMV, HDV, and AVC HD files.
When exporting files, it obtains information on a clip on the timeline (sequence) and determines which frames need to be compressed again and which do not. Simply cutting those frames instead of compressing them all over again reduces the amount of time needed for file export, as well as the degree of degradation of video quality.
For HDV and AVC HD files, Proxy editing is provided to reduce processing load and improve editing performance on Premiere.
